£22,457 – £25,177 per annum

Full time   37 hours per week

Swindon, Wiltshire

Working with people with profound and complex disabilities, then here’s an excellent local opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of six young men with physical and learning disabilities at our Masefield Avenue care facility.

Established in 1990, our Trust enables adults with learning disabilities in Wiltshire to lead a normal and fulfilling life. Today we now operate 13 residential and nursing care services in Swindon and in Wiltshire, providing support to over 70 individuals.

Enshrined in our values is our focus on ensuring that our residents should live in ordinary communities, that they should be offered choices in the daily and major life decisions which they may face, that they be treated with respect and dignity and that their holistic needs are met.

You will be expected to deliver high quality care and support, ensuring that the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical and material needs of the service users are recognised, assessed and met. This will include involvement in the development, implementation and review of person centred care plans that meet all the Trust’s policies and procedures and associated codes of practice and legislation.

It is essential that you possess knowledge of the social and health needs and rights of people with profound disabilities. Able to work on your own initiative and in the absence of the RHM and Nursing Services Manager, you must demonstrate excellent all round communication skills and be NMC registered and hold a valid PIN number.

You must be flexible and available for shift work including weekends, bank holidays, lates and earlies and be willing to undertake training to meet the needs of the service. A full driving licence is desirable.

Bring your skills, experience and commitment to a truly caring environment where we can offer you a rewarding opportunity that will enrich your personal and professional development.
