About us

JRHT and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) work together to understand the root causes of social problems, identify ways of overcoming them, and show how social needs can be met in practice.  The Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) provides housing, care homes, retirement and supported housing and demonstrates new approaches in these areas.

The Care Services Team is responsible for providing high quality residential, nursing and specialist dementia services.  Hartrigg Oaks is a 42 bed home, situated in the heart of a retirement community which aims at maintaining independence throughout later life.  Lamel Beeches is a 41 bed home, enjoying a perfect location set in beautiful mature gardens within two miles of York City Centre. Both homes provide residential or nursing care for older people, ensuring that every resident is treated as an individual person, with their rights to independence, privacy and dignity fully respected.

As a Senior Support Nurse, you will play a critical role in leading our care teams in order to make a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. You will develop and maintain positive relationships and deliver nursing care that treats people with compassion, dignity and respect.
