UH7 - Lecturer Scale: £32,004 - £38,183 pa

UH8 - Senior Lecturer Scale: £38,183 - £48,327 pa

Grade: UH7/UH8

1 part time post working between 22.2 – 29.6 hours per week (0.6-0.8 FTE)

2 full time posts working 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Two permanent full time posts (1.0 FTE, 37 hours) and one part time post (0.6-0.8 FTE by negotiation) as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer have arisen for enthusiastic adult nurses to join the Adult Nursing teaching team in the School of Health and Social Work at the University of Hertfordshire.

The pre-registration nursing programme at the University of Hertfordshire is a large provision.

The Adult Nursing pathway is offered at both BSc and MSc levels, and these will be undergoing curriculum development towards revalidation by the Nursing and Midwifery Council in 2017/18.

The School of Health and Social Work also has a comprehensive portfolio of CPD programmes, modules and short courses, as well as opportunities for international teaching, research, coaching, and consultancy. The CPD Contemporary Nursing programme has recently undergone periodic review and validation of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner pathway.

The post holders should hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and ideally will also hold a teaching qualifi cation, or be willing to work towards one. Applications from those with a variety of backgrounds in Adult Nursing are welcome, but in particular, applications are sought from those with experience and qualifi cations in Advanced Practice, emergency care or tissue viability; mentorship, or experience in simulation training for clinical skills.
