Job Description

Scrub Practitioner
Spire Healthcare, Tunbridge Wells
Equivalent to Band 5/6 up to £35000 dependent on experience

At Spire Healthcare, we provide the highest standards of healthcare, from the moment our patient gets in touch with us until after treatment has been completed. With over 30 years’ experience, we’re proud of our dedicated and highly trained team, which consistently achieves excellent results. What sets us apart is our people, from the very best medical professionals to attentive and highly experienced support staff. This is your chance to be part of a team that’s not about treating patients, but about looking after people.

Join our committed theatre team, and you will provide exemplary planned care for patients before, during and after surgery. It’s a chance to work collaboratively across a complex and challenging workload while being supported and encouraged to develop your knowledge and skills. You will assess patients’ health and wellbeing and then plan and deliver care, using technology where appropriate. Effective communication will be key: we’ll expect you to develop empathy with the patient and provide reassurance where required.

Your passion for customers will stand out, whether you’re a registered nurse or qualified Operating Department Practitioner. Fully aware of infection control and health and safety guidelines, you’ll bring experience of working as part of a team in a caring role together with sound knowledge of relevant equipment and medical devices. It’s likely you’ll be working towards a post registration qualification. Above all you’ll demonstrate our values, and be committed to succeeding together and driving excellence.

BENEFITS

We commit to our employees well-being through training, support and reward. We offer employees a market competitive basic salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes contributory pension scheme, life assurance, private medical cover, wellness screening, eyesight tests, childcare vouchers, cycle to work gym membership, transport season ticket loans and a motivating workplace environment. You will also have access to free onsite parking and a fully subsidised staff restaurant serving high quality hot and cold food daily.
