About The Facility

The Harley Street Clinic is one of the most prestigious and respected private hospitals in London, achieving an 'Outstanding' rating in our latest CQC inspection. We specialise in complex, cancer, cardiac and neuroscience care for both adults and children. With the most advanced medical equipment and one of the largest private critical care services in the country, it's no surprise we attract some of the finest specialist consultants from many of London's major teaching hospitals. We are collaborating with The Portland Hospital to provide some integrated services across our two sites.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, clinically credible and highly motivated critical care nurse manager to lead our established adult critical care team following the retirement of the current post holder, and develop a new service. The post holder will be responsible for providing professional leadership and have managerial responsibility for the clinical staff and service within the Critical Care Units at the Harley St Clinic and Portland Hospital, ensuring that patient focused care is delivered to the highest standard.

The Harley Street Clinic has a busy 9 bed adult critical care unit, providing complex care to cardiac, neurosurgery and oncology patients. We are developing a 4 bed critical care unit at The Portland Hospital to provide critical care to women undergoing complex surgery there. The post holder will be a key leader in the development of the new unit.

The post holder will also provide 'dotted line' professional leadership to nurses working in our cardiac catheter laboratories and theatres (if the managers of those services are not nurses), and participate in the overall effective running of The Harley Street Clinic.
