Why this role?

Nurses are often thought of in traditional hospital based roles, but can work in a variety of settings over their careers. This is reflected in the different sort of work done by our nurses here at Cancer Research UK. Our Information Nurses answer around 12,000 enquiries a year from cancer patients, their relatives and people who are worried about cancer by phone, email and through our online forum. We get a great sense of job satisfaction and the role gives us a unique opportunity to expand our knowledge and develop our communication skills whilst helping the public directly in a tangible way.
