Job Details

We are looking for a passionate individual to join us as an Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University NHS Trust is committed to providing the best possible healthcare service for the communities we serve. The Trust is therefore committed to building a workforce that is highly skilled and valued to provide the highest quality care.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a busy local Neonatal Unit located at the Queens Hospital site. It serves a maternity unit that delivers on average between 7000-7500 births per year. We currently have 25 cots (11 ITU/HDU cots and 14 SC cots), however the neonatal services are in the process of establishing a further seven SC cots (due to centralisation of services). We provide excellent care for preterm babies from 27 weeks’ gestation onwards and for sick term newborn babies. We have close links with the North Central and North East London Neonatal Operational Delivery Network and Neonatal Transfer Services and we work collaboratively with the tertiary level units within the network who offer neonatal surgical and cardiac services for our babies.

Due to changes that are occurring with our neonatal services, an exciting opportunity has arisen for three highly skilled and experienced ANNP’S to join our team. Within the team, excellent clinical care is our priority whilst optimizing patient outcomes and contributing to a positive family experience. Our current ANNPs work as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the junior doctor’s medical rota. You will need to be adaptable (according to the requirements of our service), work independently, under supervision and as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must be dedicated and highly motivated and dynamic ANNP’s with some leadership and management skills and also must have excellent communication skills.

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University NHS Trust is committed to providing the best possible healthcare service for the communities we serve. The Trust is therefore committed to building a workforce that is highly skilled and valued to provide the highest quality care.

Applications should be made online, however, queries regarding the application process or assistance with completion of the form (for applicants with a disability) can be made to HR Recruitment Department, on 01708 435000 ext 2177. Further details regarding the post may be obtained by contacting the manager as per the contact details below.

All new staff appointed to posts at the Trust are subject to a probationary period. This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the culture and working environment of the Trust.
