Job Description

Specialist Radiographer - MRI
Spire Bushey Hospital
£38,000-£42,000
Full Time with varied shift patterns

Bring your passion and skills to a team that will value your input.

Spire Bushey are expanding with a new Outpatients facility on the existing hospital grounds. This state-of-the-art medical centre will provide 14 purpose designed consulting and treatment rooms, outpatients diagnostics and a second MRI scanner, increasing the capacity for both inpatient and outpatient services, enhancing our reputation for outstanding patient experience and care. This role will work across the new facility and the existing hospital.

When you become part of the Spire Healthcare team, you can expect a unique working environment – one in which our staff work collaboratively to provide an incredible customer experience. And with two vacancies for Specialist Radiographers to join the team, this ethos has never been more relevant. Within these fantastic roles, you will join the radiographic department to deliver specialised MRI imaging to our patients. Working closely with those who come to you for care, you will assess their needs and explain how they can positively affect the outcome of their care plan. Interpreting their data to form a clinical diagnosis, you will share your finding with relevant colleagues, discussing next steps and identifying the need for any urgent action. You will also work with colleagues to ensure we are consistently meeting relevant benchmarks, furthering your own professional development by taking up training opportunities and staying abreast of clinical developments in your field.

Qualified to diploma or degree level in radiography, you will be HPC registered and have 1-2 years of post-graduate experience specialising in MRI in an imaging department. With a solid understanding of all imaging services (including those beyond MRI) you will have up-to-date knowledge of all equipment and medical devices competences, plus good awareness of clinical governance. Able to calibrate imaging equipment, if you have the capabilities to commission new equipment and carry out routine maintenance, that would be an added bonus. A flexible team-player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, your empathy for your patients will ensure they feel valued at all times.

There has never been a more exciting time to join this hospital. Contributing to the future development of our imaging service, you’ll have the scope to put your mark on the team – plus plenty of opportunities to ensure the ongoing success of your career.

Please call us on 0117 910 3192 for a confidential discussion.
