Job Summary

Southampton NHS Treatment Centre has a new opportunity for a n Outpatients Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team.
We are looking to employ a candidate who will provide support to the team to ensure the high standard care to patients, supported by evidence based practice.
Southampton NHS Treatment Centre is a state of the art facility and provides high quality specialist treatments in 9 specialities for the people of Hampshire: Ear, nose and throat, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, orthopaedics, pain management and urology.

Responsible To

Outpatients Ward Manager

Key Responsibilities

You will work under the Outpatients Department Manager to carry out pre- operative assessments, would assessment and care, suture and plaster removal.

Qualifications

Valid NMC membership

Additional Information

We will accept cvs from registered nurses who have not worked in an Outpatients Department and are looking to develop their skills.
Employment subject to an enhanced CRB



The successful candidate will:
• Enable patients to make informed decisions about their treatment and general welfare
• Ensure that all treatments given meet individual patients needs, reflect good practice and are provided by means of appropriate equipment, within the agreed patient care pathways.
• Ensure comprehensive records are maintained in respect of all patients
