Decontamination Department Lead
£28,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

As Decontamination Department Lead at Spire Hospital Gatwick Park, you’ll make a positive difference in the operating theatre suite for our people and our patients. The multidisciplinary perioperative team will rely on you for exemplary Sterile Supplies Department (SSD) and Endoscopy Decontamination services. Leading a dedicated team and operationally managing the service, you’ll make sure all department staff work within the QMS and CE accreditation systems. Putting health, safety and security at the heart of everything you do, you’ll help to develop services, knowledge and working practices that protect individuals’ health and well being.
You will:
• Be a Member of the Institute for Decontamination Sciences
• Have an Endoscopy Decontamination qualification
• Have either a Decontamination NVQ Level 3 or Technical Certificate
You will have:
• Previous experience in SD/Endoscopy Decontamination
• Experience in corrective action, root cause analysis and risk assessment
• Internal and External Audits, ISO 13485 and MDD experience
• Extensive knowledge of diverse perioperative instruments and sterilization/chemical disinfection procedures
