RSCN/Lead Paediatric Nurse - Spire Murrayfield, Edinburgh
£29,000 - £34,000

Working in Spire Murrayfield Edinburgh Hospital, you will take the lead on clinical care for children aged 0 to 18. Guiding the team from initial assessment right through to formulating relevant care plans, treatment and any follow-up care needed, you will ensure benchmarks are being met and look for ways in which we can continue to improve our services. Delegating workloads, you will ensure resources are being used appropriately, monitoring the effectiveness of our capabilities and working with Human Resources to see to it that your staff are being fully developed. You will also constantly maintain your own knowledge, so that we are offering the best levels of care to our young patients, ensuring relevant safeguarding is in place.  

As a Paediatric NMC Pinned or Dual Trained Nurse, you will be working towards a Masters level clinical degree. Having completed your EPLS/PALS training, you will be at Child Protection Level 3 and your clinical skills will be exemplary. With experience in a paediatric team, you will have the ability to juggle a complex caseload, challenging consultants to find the best solution for our patients. You will also need to support the commercial aspect of the hospital, so good business acumen and a knowledge of the independent sector would be advantageous. With good teaching, auditing and assessment skills, your team-playing abilities will ensure this vibrant unit continues to provide exceptional levels of evidence-based care.
