About the Job



Care UK is providing a 24 hour walk-in service for minor injuries and minor illnesses at Brent Urgent Care Centre (UCC). Brent UCC is based at Central Middlesex Hospital which offers urgent and immediate medical care when patients are unable to access their own GP and as an alternative to A&E. To deliver this vision we wish to appoint a bank Advanced Nurse Practitioner who has an independent prescribing qualification and has a background in A&E, Primary Care or Minor Injuries/Illness You will be responsible for seeing, treating and discharging all patients with minor injuries autonomously. This will include reviewing of x-rays. You may also need to administer medication within your clinical scope. The Requirements



In order for you to be considered for the job, as a minimum we are looking for you to: • Be a qualified RGN with valid NMC PIN number • Be a qualified independent non-medical prescriber • Have prior experience working in within a prescribing role • Have previous experience within A&E / Minor Injuries / Minor Illness or Primary Care • Have evidence of extended skills (e.g. suturing, plastering and x-ray interpretation) • Be computer literate, including all Microsoft Packages • Have a sound understand of legal/professional implications of independent practice It would be nice for you to have any one of the below, although these are not essential: • Post Registration certificate in: o First Contact Care o Chronic Disease Management o Mental Health Experience • Good knowledge of local primary care services including key players
