Looking for an exciting job opportunity within prison healthcare?

If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding Healthcare Assistant role and want to develop your clinical care package skills in an environment where no two days are the same then this could be the new job for you!

To contribute and support delivery of primary care within a secure environment, by providing nursing care, implement clinical care packages, while working unsupervised.

This is a full time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week across 7 days a week on rotational basis including weekends and Bank holidays.

HM Prison Long Lartin is a Category A men's prison, located in the village of South Littleton in the District of Wychavon in Evesham, Worcestershire, England.

About the Job:

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care. You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfill their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on wellbeing promotion clinics.

The Job Requirements:

We are on the lookout for Healthcare Assistants who have experience of working within a Primary Care setting including GP surgeries, hospitals and has proven experience in clinical observations such as performing ECG, Phlebotomy.

You’ll hold an NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care and must have a willingness to undertake training in Mental Health Awareness, suicide prevention, self-harm and ACCT procedures as well as Health Promotion and screening.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary for this role is between £16,000 -£ 19,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
