We have an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Staff Nurse to join The Wellington Hospitals outpatient treatment centre in Golders Green, NW11 9PA. This is a purpose-built diagnostic and treatment facility which aims to offer a 'one-stop' alternative for those wanting to access medical care from The Wellington Hospital.

Job Description

As a Staff Nurse you will work as part of a team to ensure a high standard of nursing care and safety to children and their parents/carers.

• This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week.
• The centre is open: 8am - 8pm (Mon-Thus) // 8am - 6pm (Fri) // 9am to 1pm (Sun). We are closed on bank holidays. Their will be a variety of shifts, however you will be required to work up to 2 Sundays p/month which will be paid at double rate.
• The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £31,630 - £35,822 and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of the paediatric clinics.
• Ensure a smooth operational process and support of managing a Paediatric Consultant lead outpatient clinic.
• Responsible for ensuring safeguarding measure are in place for all children
• Basic responsibilities for checking weight/height of children although core element of role is around guidelines & policies.
• Reading of blood tests
• Infection Control in child areas.
• Lots of admin with this role so need to be computer literate and good at multi-tasking

Skills & Experience

• RCN/RSCN, NMC Level 1 post registration experience
• Experience working within Paediatrics.
• Recognise signs and symptom of a deteriorating child and alert to appropriate professional for help.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to flexibly respond to the needs of the service and the outpatients centre.
