Break into prison healthcare!

To ensure the continued quality of care at HMP Hewell, we are looking for a motivated and driven individual to come and join our team, supporting the Head of Healthcare, in the position of Deputy Head of Healthcare. As the Deputy Head of Healthcare you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operational management of all clinical services across the prison. You will manage service level agreements, ensuring performance-monitoring standards are adhered to and the highest standards of care are maintained. You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with the essential standards of quality and safety. You will also deputise for the Head of Healthcare in their absence and support them across the range of their duties. HM Prison Foston Hall is a woman’s closed category prison and Young Offenders Institution, located in the village of Foston in Derbyshire.

Salary and Benefits

The Salary for this role is up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience. Job requirements

- You will be an experienced clinical manager that can provide evidence of your leadership ability, clinical capabilities and management training. - You will be an engaging and motivated individual who can adapt to a wide variety of challenges and can work under pressure. - Experience of working in a secure environment would be highly desirable but not essential. - Valid NMC PIN is required. - Background in mental health or substance misuse is highly desirable but not essential.

This is a full-time vacancy, working 37.5 hour per week. We welcome informal visits to the prison but these must be booked in advance.
