Community paediatric nurse sought out to join the busy sickle cell and thalassemia nursing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a 37.5 hours per week job which entails; paediatric pain management at home, genetic counselling and screening, assessment of health needs, home visits, education of clients and other health professionals and raising awareness in the local community.

You will be an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated paediatric nurse with experience in caring for clients with blood disorders, clinical haematology, Accident and Emergency background and community critical care. You will be someone who fancies a challenge and is adaptable to change. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the above conditions and must also be willing to learn and expand your expertise in this area.

Support can be given for further development and career progression. We are essentially looking for a nurse who has excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team. You must have a minimum of two years experience in working in haematology or accident and emergency or critical care and must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience for caring for clients with blood disorders, nursing quality and clinical audit/clinical governance.
