Job Summary

Care UK have a vacancy for Nurse Practitioner at our Minor Injury Unit in Southampton This is a permanent role for 37.5 hours per week. The remuneration is up to £36,500 per annum The role is to assist in the provision of a quality nurse led service to patients attending the Royal South Hants Minor Injury Unit The post holder will assess patients health needs with a range of minor illness and injury conditions, plan their care, administer treatment and discharge them or refer them as appropriate to other healthcare professionals and/or seek advice and support from a more experienced member of staff. This is a Royal South Hants MIU clinical facility which requires an ability to work effectively as part of a multi professional team within a fast pace environment, in line with the protocols and policies of the local Service and Care UK and professional boundaries. Education and Training •Highlighted specific training needs such as Minor Injury modules will need to be undertaken within a specified timescale. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL • Minor Injuries Course • Minor Illness Course • Minor Injury/Ailment modules • NMC registered •Relevant post registration experience including experience in: - An acute setting. - Primary Care experience or another related area. •Experience of working autonomously. •Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team. •Experience within Emergency Departments and / or Primary Care environments. •Evidence of ability to work unsupervised. •Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
