Job Description

As the Senior Staff Nurse you will still be responsible for managing a clinical caseload, however you will also be expected to act as a role model to junior staff and provide advice and guidance when necessary. You will also work closely with the Sister and Manager to ensure the Unit provides the high quality nursing service to our patients expect.

You will get to work closely with other departments and also have the opportunity to deal with procedures that you may not have covered before.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week

The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £35,673 - £40,401 + 9% shift enhancement and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

  • Full patient journey from admission to discharge
  • Take the bleep
  • Attend senior meetings and take away action plans
  • Participate in audits
  • Identify improvements to the service



Skills & Experience

For this role, you will have some experience of working in a surgical ward and also of being in charge.
