Bucks Urgent Care have a vacancy for a Healthcare Assist to work in the Minor Injuries and Illness Unit in High Wycombe. The post will support the professional staff with streaming of patients on arrival at the unit. You will be responsible for contributing and supporting the delivery of primary care within a secure environment, by providing nursing care, implement clinical care packages, while working unsupervised. This will be a permanent role and we can offer full or part time contracts. Shifts will be 08:00 - 13:00, 13:00 - 18:00 and 18:00 - 22:00, 7 days a week on rotational basis including weekends and Bank holidays.

About the Job:

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care. You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Nursing Team to help them fulfill their daily tasks. You will undertake additional patients assessments/treatments as needed alongside clinical team.To support with the running of the DVT clinic and to work in collaboration with the clinical and operational team This list of key responsibilities is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required.

The Job Requirements:

We are on the lookout for Healthcare Assistants who have experience of working within a Primary Care setting including GP surgeries, hospitals and has proven experience in clinical observations. You’ll hold an NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care.
