Job Details

There's care - and then there's Barchester care. That's why we need an outstanding Staff Nurse to help us provide and supervise the delivery of the highest-quality mental health and dementia nursing care to our patients. We'll look to you to make sure that each and every resident's psychological, physical and social needs are met - and that they are treated with dignity and respect.

Working with us in one of our independent hospitals, you'll focus on continually improving the quality of life for the people in your care by helping to meet their psychological, physical and social needs. We'll provide you with a tailor-made plan for development, too. You'll undertake an individually designed training programme on the care of adults with diverse and complex needs due to mental health issues, brain injury or dementia. If you don't already have a nursing degree, we'll also support you to work towards your degree.

You'll be equipped with a current NMC registration, RMN (Mental Health) or LD (Learning Disabilities) and knowledge of the most up to date clinical practices, particularly in relation to dementia. Experience of producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments, plus an understanding of CQC regulatory frameworks, DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines is essential. Ideally, you'll also have a teaching or mentoring qualification, and experience of supporting newly qualified nurses.

In return, you'll receive one of the best reward packages in the care sector. As well as a competitive salary, this will include:

* Golden Hello joining incentive*
* Free learning and development
* Profit-share scheme
* Childcare vouchers
* Retail discounts
* Leisure savings
* Holiday and travel discounts
* Mentor bonus scheme
* Offer to pay Tier 2 visa application fee for eligible nurses*

If you have the unique qualities required for this exciting role and want to work with an organisation that provides the type of care you'd expect for your loved ones, we would welcome your application.

*Terms and conditions apply.
