Sidra Medicine is a state of the art academic medical center that will function to the highest international standards.  Our clinical focus is on the specialty care of women and children.  Sidra’s Vision is to be a beacon of learning, discovery and exceptional care, ranked among the top medical centers in the world.  Sidra works closely with Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and Hamad Medical Corporation to raise the standard of health and health care throughout the State of Qatar.

Now is a particularly exciting time to join Sidra, as we welcomed our first in-patients in January and will be ramping up our services during the rest of 2018 to reach full operational capacity.  When the opening of the hospital is complete, our Women’s Clinical Management Group (CMG) will provide services in Maternal/Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine, and Gynecology.

Crucial to our success is the role of Executive Director, Nursing and Midwifery.  Reporting to the CMG Executive Chair and with professional accountability to the Chief Nursing Officer, you will provide nursing and midwifery leadership and strategic direction for the CMG, ensuring that standards are followed to deliver high quality, safe and family-focused care.  A key member of the Executive Team, you will serve as a professional and clinical role model for staff.  You will support the achievement of performance targets and strategically manage resources including people and budgets.

A professionally registered midwife in your country of origin, you will ideally hold a Master’s Degree in Midwifery, Nursing or Healthcare, or an MBA.  Most importantly you will have comprehensive and progressive senior management experience in midwifery and nursing leadership, most likely gained in an advanced healthcare environment.  Fluency in the English language is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate business acumen and to successfully manage a diverse team of colleagues and stakeholders.
