Registered Nurse - Private Ear Clinic

We are currently recruiting for a trainee position in aural hygiene at our prestigious team at the Clear Ear Clinic, located in the Harley Street medical district. Our newly refurbished clinic is a warm and welcoming environment for all our patients and employees.

The Clear Ear Clinic was established in October 2006 and provides an efficient and affordable service to our customers who are in need of treatment and ongoing ear health management through the technique of aural microsuction.

Salary: £25,000 - £37,500 per annum. Depending on Band & Experience. £1000 bonus after 6 months with demonstrated competency in micro-suction.

Full Time role (37.5 hrs per week). The applicant will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Maximum shift length is 7.5 hours plus breaks with no late or night shifts.

The Clear Ear Clinic is looking for a conscientious, confident communicator who is eager to learn. Although experience and interest in ear, nose & throat anatomy & physiology are desirable; personality, drive and exceptional people skills are key.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting within the last 5 years (Newly qualified nurses may be considered if they demonstrate the required attributes).
• NMC registered Adult/General Nurse RGN.
• Experience in aural hygiene, ENT surgery and micro-suction desirable but not essential in the right candidate.

Role Summary:

The trainee Registered Nurse will demonstrate clinical expertise in the area of ear care and management in time. They will be trained in aural hygiene techniques including microsuction and ensuring all agreed high standards of care are maintained, monitored and evaluated.

The trainee Registered Nurse is to maintain a safe clinical environment conducive to patient needs and in keeping with evidence based practice.

Duties of this role include:

• Meet patients’ needs, explain treatment and communicate in levels which promote understanding and support to patients choices and consent in treatment and ear care management.
• Ensure high quality standards in work, health and safety, infection control and maintain an environment which is clean, tidy and fit for purpose.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of all patient care is entered and maintained on the patient data system.
• Maintain and protect all patient and staff sensitive documents. Adhere to all data protection, card industry data security and information commission guidelines.
