Care UK is looking for Registered Nurses to join our multi-disciplinary team at HMP Isle of Wight HMP Isle of Wight is a Cat B prison supporting rehabilitation for male adults and is located in Newport, Isle of Wight.

About the Job:

As a Staff Nurse you will be an integral part of the healthcare team and will be involved in everything from clinical triage to the evaluation of patient care and standards. You’ll carry out – and potentially develop – nurse led clinics, reviewing patient’s histories, undertaking relevant examinations and tests, organising any necessary treatment and referring patients to other healthcare professionals when you need to. You will also be working as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team, alongside the substance misuse and mental health teams. Are you new to prison healthcare? Do not worry... you will be supported and mentored throughout your first 6 months with Care UK by experienced teams of highly skilled nurses and practitioners as well as management.

Additional Information

There are opportunities for both full time or part-time roles The full time hours are 37.5 hours per week and part time is negotiable. Shift Pattern/working hours are on a rota basis, 7 days a week working in either the inpatient healthcare unit or primary healthcare centres. We welcome informal visits by appointment so please do contact us for more information and to arrange this. You will be a Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) looking to develop your current skills in a unique and ever changing environment. You will have a passion for learning and development, as well as having the initiative to bring new ideas and opinions on how to improve the healthcare services.

Prison Healthcare experience is not essential.
