Base - We currently have 2 posts based in Manchester – St James’ and 1 post based at the main campus – Ormskirk.

About You

As an enthusiastic and engaging professional, you will have successful teaching and assessing experience enabling you to provide high quality learning to our students.  An effective communication style and excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as is experience of working collaboratively with other Health and Social Care professionals.

To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of working within clinical practice. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within Perioperative & Health and Social Care practice.

About the Role

Based in Manchester or Ormskirk, this role requires extensive experience in the field of perioperative practice and you must be HCPC/NMC registered. You will contribute to the design, planning and development of programmes and act as a personal tutor for students as part of a dedicated team of perioperative educators. Activities will include planning modules, teaching, participating in marking & moderating and being actively engaged in scholarship and research activity.

You will also support the development of practice placements, guide and assist practice mentors in ensuring the best facilities for practice based learning and assessment, and support students in the practice area.
