Break into Prison Healthcare!

Care UK are looking for a Senior Nurse or Primary Care Team Leader (RGN or RMN) to join it's multi-disciplinary team at HMP Grendon and HMP Spring Hill. Nursing in prison is never dull or predictable. On any given day, you might find yourself working in A&E, drugs, mental health or health promotion. It’s this variety that keeps things fresh and stimulating. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences. HMP Grendon is a Category B secure conditions prison for male adults and HMP Springhill is a Category D open prison with a resettlement regime for male adults.

About the Job:

As a Senior Nurse or Primary Care Team Leader you will work as part of an integrated healthcare team, utilising your clinical expertise, decision making and problem solving skills to provide skilled and evidence based nursing care for patients in the prison. You will work within your scope of practice, in accordance with Care UK and prison service policies and procedures in line with the NMC Code of professional conduct, performance and ethics for nurses and midwives. You'll be responsible for leading and developing a team providing clinical supervision to all staff. You'll participate in the on-site and on-call rota to provide 24 hour cover for the service. As the Senior Nurse or Team Leader, you'll also deputise for the Deputy Head of Healthcare in their absence and support them across the range of their duties.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for this role you will be a RGN/RMN and hold a current NMC registration with evidence of continued professional development post registration. We are looking for someone passionate, motivated and dynamic to join the existing team in helping to develop the service.

The salary for this role is up to £35,00 per annum - dependent on experience.
