Status: Fixed-term up until 31st March 2020

Hours: Part time 28 hours per week, job share applications will be considered

Location: Home based, this is a national role requiring travel all over England.

The Regulated Professional Workforce (RPW) team at Skills for Care provide a range of projects and programmes primarily supporting employers of social workers, nurses and occupational therapists. These include a range of initiatives supporting employers in the recruitment and retention of nurses; the social work  ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment) – managing moderation, quality assurance, grant disbursement and employer resources; development and employer support for new knowledge and skills statements, , and other long term programmes generating additional income. We have recently secured an additional 2 year contract to manage the ASYE in Child and Family services and have consolidated a number of projects relating to the nursing workforce.

The postholder will be responsible for leading on allocated projects and contributing specific input to others. They will be part of the delivery team for commissioned work including the Nurse Leaders Professional Leadership Development Programme and work on a Statement of Role Knowledge and Skills for nurses in the care sector. The postholder will maintain and develop internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Extensive experience of developing, managing and delivering a wide range of workforce and organisational development projects is key to the success of this role. Additionally you will have experience of professional education and post qualifying development having personally delivered work based learning and/or workforce and organisational development activities in this area. You will have a demonstrable background in professional practice or education.

Ideally, you will be a registered nurse, educated to level 6, and will possess relevant experience in project management.

You will have experience in presenting and communicating to large and small groups, and assessing and supervising professional development or practice and  ideally be skilled (with relevant qualifications where appropriate) in action learning, mentoring, coaching or other group facilitation techniques, in addition to working with supporting office and administration functions.
