NHS Dumfries and Galloway is a small but vibrant rural Health Board in South-West Scotland which covers a large geographical area of about 2,400 square miles and serves a population of approximately 150,000. The boundaries stretch from Langholm in the East to Drummore in the West, and from Kirkconnel and Carsphairn in the North down to Sandyhills on the Solway Coast. We employ around 4,500 staff excluding GPs and Dentists.

Nurse Manager (Stewartry) (229a.18)

Band 8a: £42,058 - £50,470 

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Nurse Manager to join our Integrated Team within Stewartry.

The Nurse Manager role will lead and manage the Nursing services across Stewartry Locality which includes Community Nursing, Specialist Nursing and two cottage hospitals (Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright).

As a key member of our Management Team, you will be responsible for advancing change in key areas of impact – quality, patient experience, efficiency, leadership and skills development.

Exciting times are ahead of us as we work towards the integration of Adult Health and Social Care and this role will be crucial in supporting the development of new models of care for our Locality, including in-patient services and enhanced community support.
