An exciting new opportunity with Care UK

Care UK is building on its extensive experience in Primary Care. We are currently designing and making plans to deliver a new model of care for general practice. Working with a leading Pharmacy Partner, the model aims to provide an enhanced general practice service to NHS patients through the use of technology, remote care and local clinical services delivered from our Pharmacy Partner sites. This new way of delivering general practice services in the UK will utilise Care UK’s extensive clinical contact centre capability as well as optimising patient experience and service quality through use of a comprehensive online capability. Run by Care UK, providing the community of Brighton and Hove with treatment and advice for a range of minor illnesses and injuries, long term conditions and sexual health concerns. We also provide a range of primary care services including immunisations, minor surgery and women’s health. The service is open every day of the week from 8am-8pm, including Bank Holidays.

About the Job

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Practice Nurse to join our team working within our new model of care. The successful applicant will receive support, training opportunities and clinical supervision to be able to develop their career whilst working in a fast paced and challenging environment. The role includes some weekend working on a rotational basis which ensures you know well in advance your days on and off enabling you to plan your life around your work. As an experienced Practice Nurse, you’ll be vital to delivering chronic disease management clinics, travel health, women’s health and other treatment room tasks to our new practice.

The Requirements

To be successful in the role, you will bring: •Qualified RGN with valid NMC PIN number •Chronic Disease management with a particular interest in diabetes is advantageous. •Treatment Room experience •Mentoring HCA’s •Experience in general practice •Degree level – Practice Nurse •Evidence of recent study •Postgraduate, e.g. ENB 998 Teaching /Mentorship course
