At 52 Alderley Road we offer a wide range of screening and diagnostic tests for patients with suspected cancer. If patients require further investigations or treatment we have close links with The Christie Clinic, a dedicated cancer facility for private patients.

The imaging services at 52 Alderley Road are overseen by an expert team of radiographers and consultant radiologists. We offer a range of modalities to provide the most effective diagnostic options for our patients. These include: X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI – the only private sector static 3 Tesla MRI scanner in the region, Mammography and Interventional radiology

HCA International investment so far – £10 million to open the medical facility, with ongoing funds allocated for its future development, brings our expertise to patients in the North West.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior MRI Radiographer, you will get the opportunity to work in a small friendly specialist team, responsible to deliver a high quality of diagnostic imaging to all private patients, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of patient care.

Using cutting-edge technology including 3T MRI scanners to deliver unrivalled levels of patient care and as a new and growing facility, you can be sure of ongoing training and a range of career development avenues opening up throughout the North West and beyond.

This is a full time permanent role working 37.5hrs per week

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primarily undertake radiographic duties in MRI (Siemens or GE scanners preferable), ensuring the high standards of radiographic quality and patient care are maintained and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate diagnostic imaging services, assess the patient’s condition and adapt technique accordingly.
  • Ensure that patient examination and other details are accurately recorded onto the Radiology Computer System in a timely manner so providing correct data on each case.
  • Comply with legislative and hospital policies and procedure, ensuring patient safety- particularly relating to Radiation Protection & MRI Safety Policy
  • Maintain accurate examination records and archived images.
  • To assist with patient bookings and administrative duties where necessary

Skills & Experience

  • DCR/BSc(Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
  • 2 years Post-graduate experience in MRI
  • HCPC registered
  • Implications of the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles
  • Appreciation of patient care and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Good verbal and non-verbal communication skill
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of clinical audits or working in the private healthcare centre would be desirable.
