Job Description

As the Clinical Pharmacist you will work closely with patients, consultants and third parties to provide a high standard of pharmaceutical services which consistently meet the needs of all service users. The post holder will use their proven clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge to provide a pharmacy service that is in line with GPhC guidelines to all clients.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (Mon- Fri, working a rotational shift pattern between 7am – 8pm) and additional rotational weekends and bank holidays and on-call cover.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Outpatient and inpatient service cover on a rotational basis
  • Clinically screen prescriptions and undertake clinical and accuracy checks
  • To dispense, label and supply medicines as requested to both in and out-patients
  • Other duties as requested or outlined as your objectives by the Pharmacy Manager or Deputy pharmacy manager

Skills & Experience

A registered member of the GPC you will have significant clinical experience within a hospital environment in medical, Critical Care, General Surgery and orthopaedic ward; although it is however desirable you will have experience across a number of other specialities. You will also be working towards or due to start a relevant diploma.

The successful candidate will be punctual and of smart appearance at all times, promoting a pleasant and caring attitude within the hospital. They will ensure safe working environment at all times in accordance with all current legislation. In addition to providing support to the team, they will also be able to exhibit a passion for delivering customer service and a desire to provide an exceptional patient experience.
