School Nurse - Cardiff

Our client is a school in Cardiff which provides education for up to 40 + students aged 3 - 19 and residential and respite care for young people with cerebral palsy and other complex health needs.

They are looking to recruit registered Learning Disability Nurses or Paediatric Nurses. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in this unique setting you will provide high quality nursing care to the students and young people throughout the school day and 24/7 cover within the Registered Childrens' home.

It is a key role that will see you liaising with a wide variety of specialists - including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, neurologists, paediatricians and GPs - so the ability to maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge across a broad band of areas is essential. The ability to work as part of a team and manage your own caseload is essential. The flexibility to work day, night and weekend shifts is essential. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check (formerly CRB) for regulated activity, and will share their commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

A competitive salary is on offer commensurate with this important role within this highly regarded organisation.
