Don’t just work for us - Come start your career with Team NNUH
We tell anyone who asks, and those who don’t, that we recently scored 97% in Friends and Family survey on recommending NNUH.
We like to show off about being housed in a modern, purpose built site just outside of Norwich city centre.
However what we shout the loudest about and what we are ultimately incredibly proud of is being a Trust who genuinely supports staff development and encourages everyone to achieve their potential
Support during the early years:
Starting your nursing career can be scary and the help and support we can offer you in the early years can lay strong foundations for career development. We view each newly qualified Nurse as an individual and offer preceptorships and rotations. We have a dedicated Practice, Development and Education team with Clinical Supervisors to ensure you have the support you need, when you need it.
Opportunities for career development:
NNUH is home to some of the most exciting research and development happening in Europe at the moment. An already established Heart Attack centre, a recently established regional Neuroscience centre and home to the UK’s first dedicated Older People’s Emergency Department, career opportunity are endless.
2019 sees us relocate our Endoscopy Services into the Quadram Institute, an on-site research development. This move will make us the largest Endoscopy Unit in Europe. The New year also sees us open our brand new Intervention Radiology Unit with 4 new Cath Labs and the space to carry out more minimally invasive procedures.
We take an imaginative approach to our nursing teams, including Nurse Registrars and Nurse Consultants running their own clinics and Advanced Nurse Practitioners taking a leading role in the care of patients.
In Norwich a staggering 77% of people say they love their job. Although less than 2 hours from London and serviced by excellent transport links, Norwich is one of few UK cities that still retain a strong local identity and with that a strong sense of community – people walk down the street and say hello to each other, baristas remember our coffee order, you get to know about interesting local projects.
This strong sense of self along with excellent shopping, eating out, affordable house prices and excellent schooling is why Norwich has been ranked by the Guardian as the best city to work in.
