Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse or Paramedic Practitioner to join our team at St Mary’s Urgent Treatment Centre in Portsmouth. At the Urgent Treatment Centre, we provide a fast and convenient service to those who have a minor injury or illness. Our team of multidisciplinary practitioners can offer treatment, advice and information for a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses and our waiting times can be considerably shorter than at emergency departments. The centre is open 365 days a year, operating from 07.30 to 22.00 Monday to Friday and from 08.00 to 22.00 on weekends and bank holidays. GP’s are on site between 10.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 20.00 although the majority of our patients can be seen and treated by our skilled Nurse and Paramedic Practitioners. In this role, you will be expected to assess patients, plan their care, administer treatment and discharge them or refer them as appropriate to other healthcare professionals or external agencies. You will have proven post registration experience in accident & emergency, a primary care environment, minor injuries/illness or acute specialities.
