Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham City centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne is conveniently located for access to the West Midlands motorway network and with very good local public transport links. 

The hospital provides a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care for adults aged 18-25 years, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, specialist Eating Disorder (including day care) and private acute and addictions treatment programmes.  With 78 beds across 7 wards, our multi-disciplinary teams deliver personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care. 

The role:

We are seeking  motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individuals to work on Various Wards alongside a multi-disciplinary team of qualified staff in ensuring the well-being and care of our patients.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their skills and experiences in observation, delivery of care and involvement in recreational and educational activities delivering care and observing and monitoring the well-being of patients, ensuring that any unusual occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.  You will be caring and attentive with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with others.

The role concerns providing practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with personal and therapeutic needs ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.  It is vital that you can work well as a team as you will be working alongside qualified nurses and staff from other professions.
