Due to service re-design we are looking for Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our friendly team at HMP The Verne. Are you collaborative, caring and compassionate? We could give you the opportunity to develop in to a specialist role of your interest and benefit to the service e.g. ILS (intermediate life support), secondary care pathways, health promotion, dementia, management of antipsychotic clinics.

In return for your hard work

Receive an annual salary of £45,000. This role is full time and you will be required to work 37.5 hrs a week. You'll also get a number of benefits including a company contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus 8 public bank holidays plus CPD and re-validation support. Other benefits include cycle to work scheme and training and clinical development opportunities. Onsite benefits at HMP The Verne include access to an onsite gym and free parking.

Currently be registered with the NMC and hold a BSc or equivalent qualification. You will be able to provide evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up to date knowledge on all aspects of the role. You must have evidence of working in a team. Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care including clinical governance. You will have knowledge of national standards including NICE and the National Service Frameworks. Understanding of their accountability arising from the NMC Code of Professional Conduct (2004) Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively and safely Well developed word processing/data collection/IT skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Reflective practitioner Time management and ability to prioritise workload Able to establish and maintain effective communication pathways within the organisation, the local PCT and with key external stakeholders
