The ISEH is one of three locations forming the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM), a major legacy project of the 2012 London Olympic Games. ISEH, which opened in June 2013, aims to deliver world-class research, teaching, training and clinical expertise in sport and exercise medicine.

The ISEH provides excellence in elite sports performance and sports injury prevention and management whilst bridging the gap between elite sport, amateur sports and exercise prescription, for the improvement of the healthcare of the population.

The ISEH is a partnership between the British Olympic Association, the English Institute of Sport, HCA Healthcare UK, UCL and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Description

To deliver a high quality of diagnostic imaging to all service users, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of patient care.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week with an attractive and competitive salary increasing depending upon skills and experience.

The unit is open between 8am and 6pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 8am and 8pm Tuesday and Thursday.  Two mornings a week we run clinics for UCLH NHS Foundation Trust.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Skillfully provide accurate diagnostic imaging services to private and NHS patients
  • Achieve and maintain high standards of practice within the Department and the Institute.
  • Comply with legislative and hospital policies and procedure, ensuring patient safety.
  • Practice a high level of customer care.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to maximize clinical efficiency.
  • To rotate between areas as required.
  • To maintain x-ray records and archived images.
  • Assist in staff orientation and training.

Skills & Experience

  • Educated to A level standard
  • Diploma of the College of Radiographers (or above)
  • HPC registration
  • Experience working in general XR and MRI services (MRI desirable)
  • Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures
  • Health and Safety training
