Job Details
Location: NW London
Salary: £27,627-£35,529 (inc HCAA)
Description: This leading Hospital Trust comprises three major Acute Hospitals and has more than 30 services in the community and serves a population of over 1.6million patients. They provide World Class Care and expertise in their clinical services, underpinned by world class teaching and research.
They are looking to recruit highly motivated band 5 staff nurses to join their Critical Care Team on a new High Dependency Unit (HDU). The HDU will admit adult surgical patients from a variety of specialities including hepato-biliary, vascular and corectal.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop and consolidate your Acute Care skills with the support of an experienced senior team. Critical Care has a team of designated Clinical Practice Educators who support the learning and development needs of all staff, providing them with the essential knowledge and skills to work within this department.
Successful candidates will undertake a clear development pathway leading to career opportunities within the HDU and critical care, which involves the current development of an in-house, accredited HDU course.
There is also a large Intensive Care Unit which admits in excess of 1700 patients per year. Career development opportunities include the potential to rotate between ICU and HDU.
The HDU is a new unit open Monday to Friday and they support flexible working and part time working. The department also offers self-rostering via electronic rota to ensure a healthy work life balance.
Person Specification: RN 1st Level Registration. A varied experience base in acute medical wards would be favourable.
Benefits: The Trust are committed to developing and supporting a modern career framework for their nurses and you will be supported in every step of your critical care career.
In addition you will receive a fantastic benefits package which includes pension, generous holiday allowance, and a range of schemes to help you achieve a healthy work-life balance – flexible working, special leave arrangements, child care voucher scheme and parental entitlement support to name just a few.
