Northampton

Empower your nursing knowledge and expertise at one of the most pioneering, patient-centric mental health & learning disabilities specialists in the country.

Join the strong, cohesive and multi-disciplinary team at St. Andrew’s Healthcare and you’ll confidently rise to and learn from complex cases, delivering positive outcomes through specialised, evidence-based treatments and education programmes.

As a charity, we are free to focus on delivering and investing in world-class, holistic care that treats the whole person and truly transforms lives.  Our 15 Integrated Practice Units are designed to deliver the best possible, patient-centric outcomes, also giving you the chance to specialise within a service of your choice.

Our unique Northampton site is a teaching hospital with its own academic centre, so keeping your nursing knowledge up to date and developing your skills, is one of our key priorities. It is also set in beautiful grounds, with our very own award-winning café & garden centre, which is run by our service users.

If you share our commitment to individualised care and thrive on a career-building challenge, you will be supported to take your nursing career in whichever direction you would like it to go.

We offer competitive rates of pay depending on your experience with added shift enhancements of 30% extra on Saturday and nights, and 60% on Sunday.

Plus, along the way you’ll enjoy an exceptional benefits package that includes:

  • Pension
  • Sickness policy on par with the NHS
  • 35 days annual leave, increasing to 41 after 10 years' service
  • Life cover
  • Enhanced maternity cover
  • Car lease scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme

Up to £2,500 support for your move to Northampton

Our Northampton site is a world-class facility set in beautiful grounds near the centre of Northampton. The transport links mean the site is commutable from many parts of the Midlands. The career opportunities here make it well worth making the move if you currently live further afield.

Depending in your current location, we offer relocation support of up to £2,500. There is lots of guidance and advice available too. We’ve had many nurses relocate to join us - Northampton offers affordable housing and a good choice of properties and areas to live in. You can definitely enjoy a good quality of life here – Northampton is one of the UK’s largest towns with lots to offer in terms of shops, restaurants, bars, sport, leisure, arts, culture, and plenty of green space on the doorstep.
