The Priory Hospital Preston is an independent adult mental health hospital, specialising in the management and treatment of a wide range of mental health problems. The Eating Disorders and Acute Mental Health services at the hospital work in partnership with the NHS to provide the best quality outcomes for all the patients in our care.

Opened in 1998, the hospital has established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of services delivered across two sites. The hospital has residential facilities for 22 patients. Our highly experienced team includes consultant psychiatrists, accredited therapists, counsellors, nurses and support staff. We also have an Activities Co-ordinator who offers tailored daily activities focusing on the individual needs of each patient.

The Priory Hospital Preston now includes the Bartle Unit (formerly Sion House) which is a specialist eating disorder unit.

The Priory Hospital Preston is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health.  The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services.  The hospital currently has residential facilities for 38 inpatients.
Our Deputy Ward Manager role involves:
To provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager.
They will have a degree of clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall.
They will have defined delegated responsibilities from the ward manager.; protected time for their deputy ward manager duties and have supervisory responsibilities for an agreed group of staff.
To be successful as Deputy Ward Manager, you'll need:
• First level Registered Nurse (RMN)
• Clinical supervision experience essential, training is desirable
• Evidence of CPD and intent to maintain and develop CPD and leadership.
• Good computer skills 
• Experience in Acute Mental Health 
• At Least 3 years, or equivalent post registration experience.
• Mentorship desirable however training could be provided
