Salary: c £15,472-£24,329 + benefits (Term time only or 52 week contracts)
Description: This charitable school is a non maintained independent specialist school and independent specialist college, working with learners aged 5 – 25 who have complex learning disabilities,
They currently have opportunities for Support Workers and a Lead Support Worker across Seaford and Brighton.
Care Workers work under specific supervision and guidance from The Care Management Team, Lead Residential Support Workers and Therapy teams to support the social and academic learning activities of residents, both in the residential houses and whilst out in community. Resident learners have a range of complex needs, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. Their aim is to support all residents to have equal opportunities to develop their independence & social skills in preparation for adult life.
Ideally you'll have experience with complex healthcare needs You will be working in a truly multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic health care and with the benefit of seeing the on-going impact of your contribution.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 16.30 pm but a degree of flexibility may be required.
Positions are employed for either 38 week (term time) or 52 week (full time)
CQC rated “Outstanding”
Person Specification: You will ideally have gained experience working within a similar Health and Social Care or Educational setting with preference given to someone with an NVQ Level II in Health and Social Care.
