What you'll be doing

In this role, you will act to ensure high quality and high value patient care is delivered throughout the Trust. You will be accountable to the Director of Nursing yet expected to work largely unsupervised and be able to credibly influence across a range of disciplines to the highest level internally and externally.

What’s a typical day?

You will deputise for the Director of Nursing across relevant portfolio areas and provide professional and visible clinical leadership which inspires, motivates and empowers nurses in all care settings. You will also act as a role model, exhibiting high levels of professional behaviour at all times and inform the nursing and midwifery strategic agenda with professional colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to patient care and nursing development across the organisation.  You will develop communication, measurement and reporting systems for innovative work streams and work with the Head of Clinical Governance to develop and report on the Quality Account.  Additionally, you will work in partnership with the senior team and positively influence the culture of nursing within the organisation, ensuring the profession has a strong voice in developing improvements for patient care.
