The Trust provides acute services from the Great Western Hospital and community healthcare services across Swindon. We are an ambitious and progressive Foundation Trust, committed to continuing our quality journey so that we can exceed our patient’s expectations.

We have recently been successful in our bid for £30 million of national funding to develop an Integrated Front Door, expand our Emergency Department, purchase land for potential expansion and to help us develop new models of care, such as an intensive rehabilitation offer. And we have many more ambitious plans. This is a great and exciting milestone which will help us to maintain quality and safety for people in Swindon and the surrounding areas over the coming years.

Are you a compassionate team player committed to promoting excellence, teamwork and accountability in health care services?  Are you looking for fresh challenge; do you want to continue your journey of development with a dynamic, forward thinking Trust who is passionate about its workforce and is invested into ensuring you join an innovative team focused on providing high quality care?

If so we at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Swindon are looking to recruit enthusiastic, forward thinking, committed and motivated Nursing Associates with excellent communication skills to join our nursing team. The successful candidates will support the ward manager, junior sisters, registered nurses and multidisciplinary team to provide patient centred evidence based care; maintain high care delivery standards and efficient, safe management of patients within our busy wards. This role will offer the opportunity to develop your skills within a range of clinical specialties.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Qualification as Nursing Associate with valid NMC registration;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • A passion for delivering safe care to a high standard within a variety of healthcare settings

If you would like to explore this opportunity further and you have a passion for developing and improving services we want to hear from you. You will receive induction and undertake a preceptor-ship period of support. You will complete a probationary period and will receive a personal professional development plan to support your future career within Swindon.

You will be supported by the Ward Manager, Clinical Matron and Ward Sisters from our friendly caring team. The development of our staff is key to running our services effectively and we will invest our time in your future development.

This post is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.
