We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated staff nurse with a Dual Qualification to join our Paediatric team on St Teresa’s ward in the Mater Private Hospital.  The role may be worked within a full time contract or part time if suitable.

Purpose of the Post:

St Teresa’s ward accommodates a wide range of specialities for adults and children which include Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic surgery, Breast Surgery, ENT and Dental, Neurology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology and Sleep Disorders Medicine.

The designated Paediatric team care for surgical patients aged 2years and above for ENT, Plastics, General Surgery, Orthopaedic, Urology and Sleep Disorders Medicine.

The successful candidate will be required to take responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of allocated patients. To work as part of the nursing team to deliver best nursing practice based on individual patient assessments.  He/she will develop a programme of care based on this assessment and continuous evaluation from admission to discharge. 

Application Criteria:

• Dual Qualification essential
• 2 year post graduation experience
• A minimum 18 months experience working in an acute hospital
• Be on the live register with the NMBI
