Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN)
Leatherhead, Surrey
£19.00-£20.00 per hour plus benefits

  • Are you experienced in supporting older people with complex care needs?
  • Are you an organised, methodical Nurse who is passionate about delivering positive change?
  • Then you can build a fast-moving nursing career with Care UK and help our residents get more out of life every day.

What you’ll do

Leading the care team during your shifts, you will make certain that we fully meet residents’ medical, physical and emotional requirements. Ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will mentor and motivate colleagues, champion residents’ safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement, whilst acting as Named Nurse for your own portfolio of service users.

Where you’ll work

Set in an impressive listed Victorian mansion in Leatherhead, Milner House care home has been carefully updated to provide the latest in residential, nursing and respite care as well as sensitive end of life care for up to 46 people.

Built in 1891, and originally known as the Long House, Milner House retains many of its original features, from high ceilings to large windows and landscaped gardens. However, everything has been updated to provide the latest in older people’s care. We have a hair salon, beautiful lounges and each bedroom is spacious and light, with en-suite facilities. The home and gardens are fully wheelchair-accessible.

Our friendly and welcoming team takes time to learn about your loved one so that we can provide care and experiences that are as individual as they are. We put everything into your loved one’s life story book which becomes the foundation for their care and lifestyle – and even dietary – plans.

We support your loved one to enjoy fulfilling experiences every day – something we call ‘meaningful lifestyles’. That might mean taking part in our home activities or helping around the home – whatever brings them purpose and meaning. Our group activities include music and exercise sessions as well as shopping outings and regular entertainment from visiting musicians and performers. We also have plenty of opportunity for one-to-one time with your loved one.

There are no set visiting hours at Milner House. You’re welcome to visit your loved one at any time. On sunny days, our mature gardens and terrace are a lovely space for relaxing and chatting over a cup of tea. We have a lovely fish pond and have reintroduced some of the roses that were originally in the gardens.

Who you are

An NMC Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD), you will be well versed in care planning processes and fully familiar with clinical assessment tools.
You will be keen to develop your leadership skills and clinical knowledge, capable of building close relationships with residents and their families, and determined to drive continuous improvement.
