An experienced RGN or RMN Deputy Nurse Manager with a background in elderly care is required to work in a 50 bedded elderly care home in Gillingham.

The fully CQC compliant, charitably-run care home offers round the clock nursing care to approximately 20 residents, with the remainder residential beds, and provides a fantastic environment for older people to enjoy an active retirement, supported by the highest standards of care.

Details of this RGN Deputy Nurse Manager vacancy:

  • 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis which will include some supernumerary and some clinical duties
  • Fantastic hourly pay rates of up to £22 per hour depending on experience
  • Predominantly day shifts only, including some weekends and occasional nights to cover emergencies and for quality assurance purposes

 As RGN Deputy Nurse Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the clinical and operational management of the home, delivering effective clinical leadership and line management to the team and playing a key role in the day to day running of the service.

Applicants for this RGN Deputy Nurse Manager position should meet the following criteria:

  • NMC registered Adult/General Nurse
  • Experienced in a managerial or supervisory capacity in an elderly care home setting
  • Confident delivering clinical leadership and in the hands-on delivery of care
  • Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of CQC essential standards and all regulatory requirements
  • Passionate about high quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable adults
