SYK Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Nurse or Practitioner to lead the Recovery Team in the Theatres Department of a private hospital in Reading.

Details of this Lead Recovery Nurse RGN/ODP vacancy and what the hospital is offering:

As Lead Recovery Nurse RGN/ODP you will manage a Recovery Unit of five bays in a private hospital, there are three operating theatres and they provide a variety of surgery from orthopaedic, general, plastics, hand and shoulder surgery, to ophthalmology, vascular and spinal surgery.

Applicants for this Lead Recovery Nurse RGN/ODP post should be:

  • NMC registered Adult Nurse/RGN or HCPC registered Theatre Practitioner/ODP
  • Experienced in a senior role within a Recovery/PACU environment, with some HDU experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with effective leadership skills
  • Evidence of continuing professional development specialising in this area of care
  • Able to lead, coach and mentor a team
  • Awareness of financial management, HR procedures and procurement
  • Maintain E-Learning, and other mandatory training, this includes health and safety, manual handling, fire, BLS and ILS with a variety of other selective training
  • Audits and ensuring policy up dates, is my responsibility for the department, Field Safety Notices, Medical Device Alerts, and CAS Alerts are also within my Role.
