A specialist mental health hospital in the Blandford area is currently looking to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse (MH or LD) to work as Charge Nurse on the CAMHS Ward on a full-time, permanent basis.

As Charge Nurse RMN/RNLD, you will lead shifts, coordinate care and support junior nursing staff, playing a key role in the day to day operational management of the ward in addition to participating in direct patient care.  Duties will include supporting with clinical governance and audits, maintaining effective communication channels across all levels of staff and with patients, and ensuring all relevant documentation, risk assessments and patient care reviews are monitored and reviewed regularly.

The skills, qualifications and qualities required in a Charge Nurse RGN:

• Qualified Adult Nurse/General Nurse/RGN or Mental Health Nurse/RMN
• Up to date NMC registration
• Demonstrate previous experience working in a CAMHS environment, ideally in a senior or supervisory clinical capacity
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and confident leading shifts and coordinating care
