To promote a flexible workforce, the University will consider applications from individuals seeking full time, part time, job share, or term time only working arrangements.

We are seeking a specialist Occupational Health practitioner to lead on the delivery matters of an occupational health service across the university.

You will provide a professional and competent occupational health service, perform occupational health assessments following referral by the HR or Health & Safety departments or members of the University Executive, undertake periodic medicals for specific categories of staff, provide suitable management reports.  You will also undertake other similar occupational health activities, including vaccinations, health promotion and training as directed by the Director of HR, Director of Health and Safety or members of the University Executive.

You will be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the minimum of an Occupational Health Nursing Certificate or equivalent qualification and have significant experience post qualification; with recent experience of providing occupational health services to staff.

The ability to communicate in Welsh or demonstrate a commitment to learn to a specified level is essential for this post.

This is a part time, fixed term post and hours of work can be flexible providing the requirements of the service are met.

The university has achieved the Silver Corporate Health Standard Award and is working towards the Gold Award.  The successful post-holder will contribute to the health and wellbeing agenda for staff which will require working closely with colleagues in Student Support Services to develop holistic approaches to health and wellbeing.
