This is a Bank role to work as an when required to cover weekend and Bank Holiday shifts only. The hourly rate is £10.71 HMP YOI Swinfen Hall is a Category C men's prison and Young Offenders Institution, located in the village of Swinfen in Staffordshire, England



About the Job:



As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages such as ECG, urine analysis and blood pressure checks. You could also be involved with phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care. You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfill their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on wellbeing promotion clinics. If you do not have relevant training in phlebotomy, we would be willing to provide training and development in this area, subject to service needs



The Job Requirements:



We are on the lookout for Healthcare Assistants who have experience of working within a Primary Care setting including GP surgeries and hospitals. You’ll hold an NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care and must have a willingness to undertake training in Mental Health Awareness, suicide prevention, self-harm and ACCT procedures as well as Health Promotion and screening.
