In Patient Services Manager

NHS Band 8A equivalent (c £44,000)
37.5 hours per week preferred

St Peter's is Bristol's only adult hospice, providing help and support for patients with life limiting illnesses and their families.

We are looking for an experienced nurse with excellent leadership and facilitation skills to lead the strategic delivery of high quality, person-centred care on our In Patient Unit (IPU).

You will be joining St Peter's Hospice at an exciting time as we develop our IPU to be fit for the future. The IPU will temporarily relocate for a year whilst we rebuild our current IPU and develop it into 15 single rooms which can meet the increasingly complex needs of our patients.

This is a new post, resulting from a review of the senior nurse management structure, and it will work very closely with our Ward Manager and Quality Manager.

We are looking for a highly motivated clinician who has a passion for excellent care and staff development and who will embrace the challenge of developing a more creative model of nurse recruitment and training.

You will need to have demonstrable managerial and change management experience and be a positive and effective team member. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also essential to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, volunteers and patients.
